I have Microsoft's Antispyware scheduled to run at 0100 (in the morning) while I am sleeping, and when I use the computer at 0200, the computer usally doesn't respond very well. The computer slows down a lot, and I have to usually close down explorer.exe, and then restart it. I was wondering if there was a documented bug, or something wrong with the program.

Run it whenever to see how it affects the PC

I tried running it in the middle of the day, and after running a "Full system scan" it still starts acting funny.

Do I still need this program if I have Lavasoft's Ad-Aware?

Not if it affects the PC running properly

You can look at spywareblaster and spybot from here

Check the version of Microsoft Antispyware is the same as the version you have

I have v1.0.0.615, which seems to be the latest version. It's probably on of the programs that I'm running that conflicts with it. Never mind it though, I'm going to format my computer (need to do it anyways), so I'm not gonna bother installing it next time.

:tazz: I had Microsoft Antispyware on my computer at one time
but decided to uninstall it for several reasons, including its
"delisting" of Claria/Gator. I have Ad-aware and many of
those recommended by Keith .
