In mid-October Norton detected Trojan.Vundo on my computer and was unable to fix it. I tried to run Norton, Registry Mechanic, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Spyware Doctor in and out of safe mode to get rid of it but was unable. Symnatec recommended I turn off system restore then rescan but this did now fix the infection either. My dad finally decided to help me and somehow deleted the infected file C:\WINDOWS\System32\jkhhe.dll. My computer was acting alright and Norton no longer alerted me of the trojan so I thought my problem was gone. Norton is now detecting Downloader.Trojan and is once again unable to fix the problem. I ran Spybot Search and Destroy, as well as Spyware Doctor. I also tried to use MoveOnBoot but it would not move or delete awvvw.dll after restarting my computer and I gave up after several attempts. I am unable to do a system restore because I disabled it after the last infection which deleted all past points and since then made no new points. I read the thread titled "You Must Read This Before Posting A Hijackthis Log" and tried to run Trojan Hunter but was unable because my bandwidth is being taken by NAVAPSVC.EXE and winlogon.exe. I am now resorting to posting my Hijackthis log.

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Also, please DELETE your current HJT program from its present location.

Download and run the following HijackThis autoinstall program from Here . Please choose the default location of C:\Program Files\ as the destination. HJT needs to be in its own folder so that the program itself isn't deleted by accident

Run HijackThis

Click SCAN and SAVE LOG. (a notepad window will open with the log in it when you click Save Log) (Ctrl-A to'select all', Ctrl-C to 'copy')

POST the log into this thread using 'Add Reply' (Ctrl-V to 'paste')
