Just received a new Dell laptop. It came with McAfee. Should I use it as my protection software or should I download and use AVG. It is my understanding that I should not use more than virus program. So my question is which one or should I run both. Thanks for any advice.

choose which ever one you prefer. AVG is free all the time, after your first year with mcafee you have to paya yearly subscription to keep it updated.

do not run more then one (1) AV program. they can read each others files as virus and try to delete one another. in the end you end up with two (2) corrupted AV programs.
