Open Spybot and click on Mode and check Advanced Mode
Check yes to next window.
Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner.
Click on Resident icon.
Uncheck Teatimer box and/or Uncheck Resident.
Close Spybot.

(Please be carefull NOT to REMOVE the WinSxS-map in the folder C:\Windows, because that one is legit!! The bad folder you need to remove is in your C:\Windows\System32-folder. Inside that W?nSxS-folder there should be a file called services.exe

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Run the Free use Panda Active Scan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HijackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

I downloaded the 2 fixes and disabled spybot and spy doc but I am having a hard time in safe mode to try to find the folder you want me to delete. Safe mode is giving me a very hard time. What should I do next. Thanks!

We need to disable your Microsoft AntiSpyware Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.

Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Click on Tools, Settings.
In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
Under Startup Options uncheck Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Reverse the process when you’ve carried out the advise.

Copy everything inside the quote box below (starting with dir) and paste it into notepad.
Go up to "File > Save As" and click the drop-down box to change the "Save As Type" to "All Files".
Save it as findfile.bat on your Desktop.

dir C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\t?skmgr.exe /a h > files.txt
notepad files.txt

Locate findfile.bat on your Desktop and double-click on it. It will open Notepad with some text in it. Please post the contents of that Notepad here.

• Open HijackThis
• Click on the configure button on the bottom right
• Click on the tab "Misc Tools"

That's the one you want to remove. It will probably look like taskmgr.exe so be sure to only remove the one created 09/08/2005 08:46 AM. The size is 401,408

We need to make sure all hidden files are showing so please:* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

move to this folder:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

Look for the files taksman. As we discovered there are two files with that name.

Go to View menu and click details
You will see the creation date and size of each file.

Look for the file that matched this data:

created 09/08/2005 08:46 AM. The size is 401,408

And remove it.

Thanks again for you time, I followed your directions and did a search for window system 32 folder but the only folders I found were Taskkill, Tasklist, taskman and tasmgr. What should I do next?
