Hi there. I am having problems deleting a file a family member downloaded off the internet. It appeared to be a movie file, but it has an exe attached to it. It says it is HITCH.exe, and i checked it and sure enough its an application. Anyway, i wanted to delete it, and it wont let me, saying its being used by another program. I have rebooted and tried again and it still wont let me. So i downloaded Forcedel and I dont know what to do after that. Forcedel says it is able to delete almost any file but doenst give very good instructions on how to do it, or maybe i just missed them. My OS is Windows XP Home edition. Thanks for your time.

go into safe mode - it'll let you delete anything

turn your comptuer off, then on again and enter before the windows logo shows up by pressing F1
