How to engage auto run from CD rom?

I have a XP PC that will not auto start the program/game when a CD is put in, how do I turn this on like it should.

Usually if you put a cd in and wait, an option box comes up that allows you to choose autorun. Now don't quote me on this, but I beleive the cd has to have an autorun.inf file and has to load autorun.exe for that feature to work. You might check and see if that is the case with the ones that are giving you a problem.

You put a cd in and nothing happens, all the cd's auto run on all my other PC's. You have to go to my computer and select the drive then find the run file to make it start on this particular pc!

You might want to go into Setup and see if there is a setting in BIOS for autorun. There may be other settings in Windows too.
