Hello. I've come upon a problem when trying to run an online game known as FFXI. I'll get straight to the problem; everytime I run the application, it starts up as its supposed to, but before it can even show any of the game content, the application exits back to the desktop and is no longer running in the processes.

I've tried multiple approaches to this problem. The game can only be launched through another program (Play Online) and its just after I launch the game from Play Online. Both the game and Play Online close completely, and I know this for sure by looking at the Windows Task Manager.

Anyone have any solutions as to why it just randomly exits? I've searched just about every site, and this is my last resort. I've updated my hardware/drivers/etc, and I still have the same problem. I'm usually good at answering these kind of conflicts, but this one has me stumped (although I am thinking there could have just been something wrong in the installation of the game).

Help would be appreciated.
