Right Clickin on avi files makes screen disappear for a min

posted this before and it mysteriously fixed itself.

Unfortunately it's back again and doing my head in!

When i right click on an avi files the screen goes blank for a few seconds and then just goes back to the desktop

so i can't use the context menu and the shortcut keys won't work either for me to copy, paste, rename etc
