Hi,

Last night, I turned on my compter as usual, and shortly after doing so noticed some weird pop-ups with WinFixer 2005 as the name. I clicked off each and closed the windows, but they continued to pop-up consistently and would force me to close out of Internet Explorer and re-enter to visit websites again. Once I did so, the pop-ups appeared again the the process started all over again.

I ran the following programs...

AdAware Spyware Scan - removed 12 items (typical)
Yahoo ToolBar Spyware Software - removed a couple more items (typical)
Norton Anti-Virus Live Update - Everything was current (this is on automatic updates)
Norton Anti-Virus Full System Scan - Scanned the 250,000+ files, and detected nothing.
Windows Update - Checked for any new downloads, found nothing (this is on auto updates)

Normally, if I have a virus, it's detected and fixed by taking these steps. However, in this case, nothing has helped.

I'm at work this morning, but can you please provide some guidance on steps I can take when I get home tonight to fix this?

Hi,

Thanks for the info needed to start. Unfortunately, I downloaded and ran all the programs requested...Still the same problem. Worse yet, my computer is becoming very, very slow.
