Does anyone know why when you delete a big file from your hard disk, and then when you check your C Drive it hasn't got the space back.

Is there anyway of getting this space back?

When u delete stuff, make sure u empty your recycle bin. In order to make space, you can also run the disk cleanup utility and then the disk defragmenter, since temporary files, restore points etc take up space and also when lots of files are added or deleted, the drive tends to get fragmented.

See the thing is about a month ago I deleted around about 250MB and when I checked the amount on the hard disk left in my computer it was the same and it been like that.

Any suggestions on how I can get it back to the previous amount of space.

Thanks
