I seem to have been infected with Win32/Gaelicum. AVG Free detects the virus, the vcleaner cleans the infected files, but does not seem to remove the virus, it just keeps on coming back every day. It seems to attack all my exe files in my C drive, and doing the virus removal in Safe Mode works, but only for one day. How do I remove his virus? I have AVG Free, Zone Alarm and Microsoft Anti Spyware installed on Windows XP system. Please help!!

Hello gail f...Welcome to G2G!

Let's let the malware experts deal with this one.

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the Start Here.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

Hi there, thanx for your reply. Question: if I remove objects found in the Critical Objects tab, will that stop any of my programs from running?
