On my other pc, after a reboot I started getting Norton warnig messages that these viruses were detected and deleted. the file is on my C: Winnt directory and has a name eraseme_xxxxx.exe where xxxxx is a random number. I received maybe 8 warnings. I tried to access ur site and post my hijack log but...and this sounds odd...unless ur site is having problems...it would not let me add a topic. So i apologize I dont have a log to post. I am running a norton scan in safe mode as we speak on that pc (win 2000 pc). From what i have researched there are quite a few registry entries that may have to be changed. I'm not sure Norton will do that. Assume u will know. I do know in the registry the things reccomended to look for were not in Current Version/Run. Because I'm pretty familiar with my hijack log, i dont see anything there that looks odd. Perhaps if its a trojan it wont....So...can u help? Will Norton take care of it or will in need to do more?
And what about not being able to post on that pc...is that a symptom of this virus?? any help appreciated. I get the feeling Norton scan in safe mode will come up clean......
