Win98 is slow to startup & BSOD.

I'm using Windows 98 and lately my startup has been really slow. I just got DSL and have installed McAfee 2006 Virus Scan and Personal Firewall. Here are the particluars on my computer: 256MB RAM, 12.7GB Hard Drive and a Pentium III Processor. I just installed 128MB of RAM last week (bringing total to 256MB RAM).

I've run my virus scan, Ad-aware, Cleanup and installed WinPatrol to try and disable some of the start-up programs that are sucking up memory.

Now when I startup the computer I get a blue screen with Windows at the top and says: Fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:FF027919.

When I click any button to go on another blue screen pops up with Windows at the top and says: Fatal exception 06 has occurred at 0028:00000017.

Once I restart the computer it is fine.
