I have not been able to connect to my email though my high speed internet provider. The sytem attempt to connect and receive mail but times out after 60 seconds. Tryin to "End Task" then takes forever. The same thing also happens every time I attempt to have Ad-Aware check for updates. I hit connect but nothing ever happens. I know my connection is working because I can pull up my browser and search the net all I want. However Ad-Aware, Spy-Bot and my Email connections will connect. They all act the same way. they attempt to connect but never do. It seems like every time I attempt to end task I get the same message that "ccapp" is not responding. Any and all help is appreciated.

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.

But those entries are not causing your problems. As you already suggested, Norton is the culprit in this case. I would recommend uninstalling Norton and then reinstalling.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, I'd get with Norton support and see if they can work through your problem.
