XP SP2 Upgrade Failure

In addition to not being able to upgrade to XP sp2 (which was formerly installed and removed), I have no devices present in device manager and no network connections visible...

They are visible in safe mode, though

Missing devices in the device manager are often infdicative of a malware infection. Please visit the malware forum in my signature and follow the instructions at the top. After following those instructions, post a thread with the title POSSIBLE ROOTKIT
