can anyone tell me why i can run a webcam with no faults on windows 2000 professional but not on XP home edition and those xp and win2000 pro are newly installed on the same pc dual booting..???

your webcam may not be compatible with xp.....go to the manufacturer's website and check for xp drivers...also..if you still have the box that it came in....check and see if it's compatible with xp

i did try those but is still the same. also i checked its box and it says is compatible with xp
