BF2 RANKED SERVERS PROBLEM/QUESTIONS

Hey guys, its me again. I have bf2 up and running very well. I was wondering how u unlock the new weapons. Do u need to play on ranked servers? If so, how? I have tried to apply filters for "ranked" but olmost none come up. I try to click on the play now button on the bottom right hand of the screen but then it freezes up. How can i get to play ranked servers??? Or how do i get the upgraded weapons for bf2. Thanks again. YOUR THE BEST!!! :tazz:
