My moniter keeps "blinking" as I like to call it around every 5 minutes or so, what could I do to fix this? Could it mean the moniter is about to go? I have already reinstalled the drivers for my video card and nothing helped it. Any help would be appreciated since I am tuning up this computer to give to a friend since I got a new computer.

Sounds like it could be the power supply in the monitor going out.

Try it with another monitor that will tell you if it is the monitor or the computer.
