Hi Mike... thanks again for your reply! K, did the Hosts, copied & pasted over what was already there. Will that cover all the users on this computer (we are both "admin")?

Also, did the Msconfig thing (never done that before, now I know how :tazz: and unchecked the RealPlayer, Messenger/msmsgs.exe"/background (????? What this is I have no idea, lol) , and DMXLauncher from Dell Media.

All the other things I'm guessing are ok?

Now... what exactly does "System Restore" do? It sounds useful, so maybe I'd want it, whaddayou think?

Well... I'm off to install the SpywareBlaster :)

You've been so awesome for your help and priceless assistance! I'm beyond thankful!

System Restore is a feature in Windows that takes snapshots of the Operarting System, usually when changes are made such as new software and such.

Since the bugs are stored in a snapshot, now we want to flush out all the old ones and create s nice new clean one.

To do this simply disable system restore, restart, renable it and restart.

New snapshot made.

Now,if you ever need to access system restore-> Click Start-> All Programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> System Restore.

Havent ever considered multiple users accounts but would think the Hosts File took System Wide.

Well, hot dang Mike! You are more useful than most & I'm going to keep you! : ) I think it comes from having the name Mike actually, as that also is my husband's name and he is a gearhead to the extreme. :tazz:

Your work here is done my friend, and thank you and thank you again for your efforts, time and talent, and for sharing them generously with me! I am beyond happy and thankful... and SO relieved!

Bless you!!!
