Quick Question: I keep messing around with these anti-spyware tools. will it destroy the stability of my PC?

Because I, like many, tend to own pc's without Recovery CDs or Intallment CDs for the OS. I always find myself needing to reinstall windows because of some unstable reason. Right now my laptop can not access its Control Panel for some reason. And My computer always recieves some strange ERROR: ACCESS DENIED message in any and every limited account created. And My Aunts computer's mouse freezes everytime she switches user. And none of us have CDS!!

So, I just want my pc to be faster and spyware-free for FREE. I am hesitant to download all these utilities with fear of only making my pc slower and unstable. I downloaded a few and I feel like im going backwards.. I could have sworn my pc was a lot faster before i thought i needed anti-spyware.. Should I be worried?

Anyone who has the internet needs anti-spyware. There are of course "rogue" anti-spyware, so stick with the most familiar anti-spyware:

Ad-aware
Spybot - Search & Destroy

Don't forget about Anti-virus software too. What anti-virus program do you have?

Well, I have spybot S&D, ad-aware SE and AVG (that virus protection software that has that message screen with the piggy face dude).. However the last time i used spybot, my Control Panel couldnt be accessed. EVerytime i go to START >> CONTROL PANEL... All my icons would disapear then reappear and then nothing would happen.

Although, i can open a control panel application through START >> RUN, I cant open the control panel folder in windows explorer.

IS it possible that Spybot S&D deleted some important files after i scanned my pc?

Not likely. What's more plausible is that Spybot deleted an infection that was attached to your Control Panel, or something like that.

Can you start Spybot and go to the recovery section and post back with the names of the infection(s) that it found?
