The top of my task manager dissapeared (the part with the X button, restore, and minimize button). if i right click on the task manager at the bottom (the part with the start button,time,and tasks on it) nothing shows up.HELP PLEASE!

Never heard of such a problem. A shortcut to exiting a window is pressing Alt + F4 at the same time. That's just like clicking on the X.

double click the blue bar at the top of the task manager..anything happen?

XP service pack 2

and there is no blue bar at the top anymore. THATS THE WHOLE PROBLEM! i press ctrl + alt + del then click on "Task Manager". then the task manager shows up and theres no blue bar on top of it.

Quit all running programs.
Click Start, then Run, type msconfig in the Open box, and then click "Ok". Click the "Services" tab, and then click to select the "Hide All Microsoft Services" check box.

In the list of running services, determine if the following service is running...WINKxxx (where xxx is two to three random characters appended to the word WINK. For example, WINKAP, WINKZFU, or WINKNWK.)

If this service is listed, your computer may be infected with a variant of the W32.Klez worm virus and your best bet is the Malware Forum.

If the service is not listed, let us know and we'll look elsewhere for the problem.

Ignore the arrow at the top of the task manager.
