one of three possbilities,

your USB ports are dead,
your bios lost it's settings for the USB ports
Somehow your windows disabled them.

so we will knock out the possiblities one at a time.

lets check your windows settings first,
right click on My Computer and choose properties. This will open up a dialog box that shows different tabs up top, click on the hardware tab.
Next click on the Device Driver button that is about middle of the window that is open, scroll down and click on USB ports, if shown. Right click on each sublisting adn check to make sure it says
This device is enabled

respond back after you have done that and tell us if they were all enbled or not. and whether or not your USB ports are working afterwards.
