Installation of all 3 discs worked fine. Opened game to play. Got error: no TnL adapter detected . Tried to skip this error and game freezes on attempted loading. Any ideas? Brand new Dell Dimension 4600, XP Professional operating system, plenty of memory.

ok, got your pm. didn't realize that you had posted here already. Yes you will need to update your video card. Yours is rather old. if you have an agp slot then you have an upgrade path. if you don't then you will need to update your pc.

Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot Then verify "Enable Write Combining" is checked.

If this was unchecked then it can give that Tnl error
