Hello,

I have been having a lot of issues with Windows XP! First of all, whenever I click on icons on my desktop, the programs (IE, AIM, Winamp, etc) will not open. Also, programs quickly become non-repsonsive if I manage to open something, and the computer runs VERY slowly at times. All anti-spyware programs end up freezing.

Things I've done:
Symnatec Anti-Virus Scan:none infected
Trojan-hunter: none found
ewido security: got rid of some stuff, but the comp still has same symptoms
spybot,ad-aware, spyware doctor all freeze mid-scan
CWSshredder: couldn't even open the program
Registry Cleaner: couldn't even install the program

* Luckily Mozilla and certain anti-spyware programs remain unaffected!
but the anti-spyware programs still haven't found the cause of this mess.

HELP! Although, no trojans or viruses were found, I'm guessing it's some other form of really MEAN malware.
