Hi again. I'm still looking help.

OK I have run AVG, Ad-Aware, XP-Spyware, Spybot, Spyware Blaster, CWShredder, TDS-3, Trend Housecall, Pandasoftware all as recommended.

I also carried out all XP Tweaks from Smokey (really great). This has speeded up my computer some, but I still reckon my computer could be a lot faster. (It just got a lot slower after I installed Windows XP). It is really slow when opening a program, minimising one program to open another program, and very very slow shutting down completely.

My processor is 701MHz - Memory (RAM) - 64MB (On Local Disk 3.65GB Used / 14.98 GB Free) - (I don't really know what all this means ;) )
I only have SP1 installed should I upgrade to SP2???

Here is a copy of my Hi-jack this Log.

Hi,

I tried to install my windows update. But after I got their main page, I pressed the link to Download updates, all I got was a white screen. ;)

I tried refreshing the page, closing the page and re-opening etc. But no matter what I tried I still get this blank screen.

What have I done now. PLEASE :tazz:

Thanking you.

Download the free VX2 Cleaner here
Close Ad-Aware SE build 1.05 and Ad-Watch (if running)
Install the VX2 Cleaner
Start Ad-Aware SE build 1.05
Go to “Plug-ins”
Select the VX2 Cleaner plug-in and click “Run Plugin”
If your computer isn't infected, click "close"
If your computer is infected:
Select “Clean System”
Reboot your computer
Scan your computer with Ad-Aware
Remove any VX2 objects detected
Reboot your computer again
Run a second scan to make sure the files have been removed from your computer
