Hello raider917!

Have you installed the latest patch for the game?
Do you have the correct drivers installed for your gamepad?
Is the gamepad calibrated through control panel?

i finally got it to work. i un-installed from my C:\ drive and installed it in my partitioned D:\ drive. it worked ok in the D:\ drive but was slower(maybe becaus the drive is smaller?) i removed all the files that stay in C:\program files\EAsports\NHL2004 when you uninstall, uninstalled it from D:\ and re-installed it in C:\ and it works ok now.
