Movie Maker

Hi All
Need some help. I have been using Movie Maker since the SP2 update, with no issues. Recently, following a vacation, I tried downloading from the same camcorder and received the following message, "W.M.M. encountered a problem and needs to close. Send Error Report or Dont Send. "

I always send the report, then press dont send, this closes MM down immediately.
I have opened the data error report but cannot understand it. Using FireWire download. All other functions of the PC work well, all USB connections functioning.
No apparent errors in Device Manager.
Camcorder is a JVC D20. Does Movie Maker contain a glitch?

Any advice welcome.
