when my comp started up the screen had vertical lines so bad that i could not read anything i tried reinstalling xp ,and all i get is vertical lines after rebooting i sometimes get the emachine logo then just vertical colored line .can anyone help .thanks john

sonds like its a video driver is not the right one check your video driver to make sure its the right one you can download drivers off the emachine web site if you need there may be a updated one there too.
