Hi...

Would someone please explain what a 3D video accelerated card is. It's listed on the back of some games I recently purchased. Do I really need it to play the games? Is it very expensive?

Thanks. Betsy

Download and install Everest Home Edition

Run the programme, click + next to computer then summary

Look on right for display / video adapter to see if there is a 3D Accelerator listed

I downloaded the Everest thing and there is a 3D accelerator listed. What should I do now?

That should be what the game refers to, so run one to see how it plays

If you post the make and model of video adapter, someone can look for updated drivers

Hi Keith, I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you. After I downloaded the Everest thing, was I supposed to download the 3d accelerator? It's listed as Intel 1752.

Thanks, Betsy

No, Everest showed you what is installed in the case of the 3D Accelerator

Click start then right click my computer then click properties then click hardware then click device manager, if display adapter is shown like this

[attachment=5277:attachment]

It should be fine, if there are yellow exclamation marks then the drivers are usually missing

If you load one of the games you bought, it will say if it cannot play them, and should also say why
