Hi, Irecently downloaded XP SP2 which is great. I have a problem with the Firewall though.....

When I go into the control panel's security centre to alter the firewall settings I find that the firewall is switched off, when I hit the enable button I get the following message - "We're sorry. The Security Centre could not turn on Windows Firewall. To try turning on the firewall yourself, go to Windows Firewall in control panel. In the Windows Firewall dialog general tab, select on and then click OK".........

When I try to do this, I get the following message - "Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings"

Can anybody help? Is my only option to download alternative Firewall software?

It's most likely SpySheriff wreaking havoc there...so we'll get that fixed up first in your other topic. That should fix it.
