Can I safely delete msupd5.exe

When I start up my computer, Windows XP media center, IE6, I get a message "C:\WINDOWS\system32\MSUPd5.exe Abnormal program termination" I have run my EZ Trust virus scan, adaware, Spybot and Stinger and they all indicate no problems. Computer seems to be working fine.
