So I had the blue screen thing on my lap top, i turned it off, waited til the next day, and it wont turn on, nothing, no sign of power, and the power cord is brand new. any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. Start by verifying the outlet where you have it plugged in has power. When you turn it on, do you see any lights come on or hear any fans running?
