Hi,

I'm a relative novice here and not sure what info you need to help me but if I can start by telling you that my Mcafee Virusscan has detected potential worm activity.

The pop-up box advises '5 e-mails have been sent in the last 30 seconds. This condition might indicate a worm (/virus) is attempting to send e-mail.'

I request Mcafee to stop the e-mail but it just keeps coming back up. I've run windows update to ensure all the security releases are up to do date on my Windows. I have AVG Free virus scan and have run both this and Mcafee on several occasions but neither seem to detect the virus. I have tried to search for solutions but am not sure where best to start.

Any help/pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Stewarty

Please go HERE and follow the directions/recommendations. If your problem persists, create a new post in the Malware Forum and ask for assistance. Please be patient as the malware folks are quite busy and may not respond immediately.
