Hi from New Zealand , would appreciate some help :

Trying to do some work with Genius Colorpage HR6 scanner and Adobe
PhotoDelux Version 2 , only to have everything freeze up on me very
frequently . When I try to "end task" using ctrl-alt-delete I get "fatal exception"
messages , unable to restart computer , have to hard boot .

I have recently changed ISP , and have installed "Propel Accelerator" , version
4.1.0.10004 from Propel Software Corporation .

Computer is virus free according to AVG . and is current with Windows updates .

Have downloaded Hijack This , can I run the scan and have the log assessed
please ?

Can you be a little more specific as to what you are doing at the time? Is it repeatable under these circumstances? Or does Win 98 just freeze after loading or when shuting down? Are you always using a specific program when it freezes? Accessing your CDROM/DVD?

Make sure you have all your updates. Run Maintenance Wizard and have it clean your cache, temporary internet files, history and anything else you don't need. Make sure that scan disk runs a thorough check and defrag goes ok. Sometimes it will freeze at this point too.
