Hey, I tried to find help on the internet, but everyone explains it in a way I can't understand. My pc specs are very good. I can connect and play games on bnet but when I host my own game, people can't join it. I think it's cuz my router. I'm running Windows XP PRO and firewall is off. HELP ME!

You need to open/forward ports. Goto Port Forwarding, select your router (model) from the list, then select Warcraft III from the Game list, and then follow the instructions.

Okay, I tried to follow instructions, and it doesnt seem to work. I maybe doing it wrong, but its kinda confusing of how they say to do this when you can't do it. My dns server is the same ip as my router, it all too confusing, can anybody with an dl-604 actually help me, try to explain it to me in the most simpliest way!

I doubt anyone will be able to explain it any better than what it has on the website..
To find your IP Address, goto Start, Run, type CMD, press enter, then type IPCONFIG /ALL and press enter..
Look for: IP Address .............. 192.168.x.xx - That's your IP.
DNS Server ............. 144.140.71.29 (That's my DNS Server, yours will be different).
Your router should be: 192.168.0.1... It shouldn't be the same as your DNS Server.

Also, as I just found out, I know you said your firewall is off, but if you have Service pack 2, that firewall(which is not very noticable, as I did not know I had it. :tazz:) will block the port.

To access it go to Control panel, then click "security center". Internet firewall. Then checkwarcraft 3, and click add port. Name it whatever and the port # is 6112.

If that fails, then it is your router, which is complicated to explain as the above poster said.

yea, i added WarCraft 3 and its port to the firewall exceptions list along time ago and that still didn't do anything. The only way the problem is fixed is if I unplug my router and use just my dsl modem and then using Sympatico Access Manager to connect. Thats the only way that worked for me, but I know theres a way to make it work on a router, but I can't figure it out.

I don't know what kind of rotuer you have, but I access mine by typing in your IP adress.

Type that in, and then it will come up with a username/password usually, if you have not set one, it will be a default which is different. So if you can find your type of router you might be able to find a guide on it or find somoene who knows how to access it and how to change it.
