I recently had many unfortunate issues with my computer. But the one thing that really ticked me off, was the windows repair options.. Scenario: My system had been running fine for many many months, then spuratically, I was receiving memory reference errors and other strange errors that I've never seen before. So, I ran my Viral scanners to see if it was one of those nasties, and there were none that my software had detected. Well, then I used some registry testing progs to see if there were reg errs that may be causeing this, nope. Well, after exhaustive re-installation attempts and the computer telling me that half of the files were corrupted after my XP CD had coppied them I was not happy, and neither was my computer. I would get different files corrupted errors each time I attempted to re-install windows. This finally worked after about 40 attempts and hours wasted. But, I am looking for a solution on how to backup just the windows file system structure and not the apps. It would be grand if anyone could help me locate a prog or knows a method that works for quick recovery of the windows operation structure. Please respond if you know. Thanks

Installation
===============
Memtest86 is a stand alone program that cannot be executed under windows and must
be loaded from a floppy disk.

To install Memtest86:
- Extract the files from the zip archive
- Open the directory where the files were extracted and click on "install.bat".
- The install program will prompt you for the floppy drive and also prompt you to
insert a blank floppy.
- To run Memtest86 leave the floppy in the drive and reboot.

NOTE: After the boot floppy has been created you will not be able to read the floppy
from windows. This is normal.
