Hi, I recently re-installed windows xp on a Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook. It won't connect to the net via anything, and there are no sounds, and it wont recognize the speakers at all. I tried everything to my knowledge. What the... has happened????

XP won't know what to do with all the hardware, you have to put the drivers for the bits back on so it'll play sounds, go online, etc.

Have a pokey around Dell's website for that model, should be a few download links.
