I am running on windows 2000. Yesterday I had a problem where i couldn't get nero to stay up. When I'd get ready to burn it would say there was an error. So I went to look at my drive it was listed as this....SANA!!DAD!RA ARA-!1!A! (1!0A) and it only shows up as a cd rom. The burner is a sony dual layer dru-810a. I would appreciate if someone coul dhelp me with this.

Moved thread since it has absolutely nothing to do with comments or suggestions about the site.

Could be a problem with the IDE cable inside the computer sending a whole bunch of corrupt data to Windows which Nero gets its information from.

But having said that, could be a drive issue.

If its a physical drive problem with the internals, easiest thing to do is just buy a new drive. For the costs now its far cheaper to replace the whole thing than have it repaired.

But try a new IDE cable first just in case.
