Probs with cod2 = starting up dvd

i can't start up my cd of cod2

i dont know how come...

*already updated dvd-rw
*updated video card
*tried to run the game on another pc same specifications(amd sempron 2600+, 512mb ram kingston, 80gb harddisk, geforce fx 5200 , dvd-rw dual layer 16x


please help me out this problem!!

I had this exact same problem. I think it was because of the copy protection on the COD2 DVD. If your DVD drive is a rewriter then i think it will conflict with the copy protect on the game. What i did was to borrow a freinds no RW DVD drive and install it through that. The game installed fine after that, but now i have a different problem. When i try to start it up, it says "~e5.0001 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I fixed one problem then just ran into another. :tazz:
