I am running win 95, using outlook express 5.5, my problem is that I am not able to see mail in the lower part of the outlook express, whenI click on a piece of e-mail...it shows who sent it at the top , but no body to the message, and the mouse says in "busy" Mail comes into the computer no problem, but no message body.if I try to forward the un-readable message, I am able to read it thru an attachment that is to be forwarded.
please advise

What happens if you double click on the message
Also go to the top where it has File, Edit view, tools etc
Click on view then current view what is chosen in there.

I Have Ver 6 so you will have to check for me (or upgrade to ver 6)
View>Current View>customize current view
In box 1 down the bottom of the list is for all messages checked.
In box 2 should have a blue show click on this is show messages checked?

Ok go Tools >options>Maintanence tab>Store folder
This will show where the folder is kept. (you might want to write it down)
Close Outlook express
Right click on my computer > explore Navagate to this folder when you open it
Find the Inbox.dbx and copy it to somewhere else (up 1 folder will do)
Then go back to the original inbox right click & rename to inbox.old
Restart outlook express this will create a new inbox Either have someone send you an email or send one to yourself. Can you read them now?
