My Computer at home has Win 2000 Professional. I have two Hard Drives....A15 GB one is the C: drive and Holds all the programs and the Operating system. The 80GB holds data only. Both are on the Primary IDE. On the secondary IDE I have two CD ROMS....the master is a Sony DRU710A DVD R/W....the slave is The Origional Mitsumi that came with the Gateway Computer....750MHZ with 256 Mb.

Here's what I need to know.....
1. Do I need to be on-line to install service pack #4....or is there a way I can bring files from work on my jumpdrive and do it.

2. Or should I just leave it alone and put up with the lock-ups....the mouse cursor freezes sometimes....then the computer will not shut down normally.....still have to push & hold the power button.....just like win 98 !!!

3. If I downlosd pictures from my digital camera (USB) and when I finish and close off the camera using the little green arrow down on the task bar.....the printer gets disconnected.

4. I see several errors in the viewer under administrator tools.....I'll post these next time.....they have been there since the operating system was first installed !

Anybody have any ideas????
