I keep getting a username prompt

How do I get rid of it? It is a prompt for username and password which comes up everytime I change websites, it is driving me crazy.I didnt have it before I removed some malware.I am using windows xpsp2 with explorer 6.0.2800.

This almost sounds like a content advisor issue. Try this:
1) go into IE click tools -> internet options
2) Click the content tab. Make sure everything is on low (zero) and on the general tab, make sure the password field is blank.
3) Click on the security tab. Check restricted sites. Make sure it's on default level, if not, click the button that says "default level."
4) Click sites (if it says no sites, you don't need to do this). Clear the list.

When in doubt, right click, reboot, reformat. :tazz:
