i still have the problem where i cant connect to servers and i want to remove service pack 2 to see if it is causing the problem so i just wanted to know if it is ok and if it is not the problem where can i reinstall it

If you uninstall SP2 with add / remove then you will get a list of warnings about programmes which will no longer work correctly, the list is usually so long, it would be quicker to list the programmes which will work properly

The best option for removing SP2 is to run an XP Repair but you will need to install all the other windows updates

ok thanks for the help............do you know if if service pack 2 will make me not connect to servers? cuz i cannot connect to runescapes server or ot limewires any ways you could suggest to fix this problem

The runescape site says to clear the temporary internet files in case the browser is caching an old version of the game

limewire corrupted my os with worms. so it would be best not to ever use a p2p program.
