When I start my laptop, I get a pop up message that "updates are available, click here to install." I click the icon and the system starts loading Service Pack 2. It runs for awhile, then an "Access Denied" error message pops up. I click OK and the computer takes me through the process of undoing whatever it did to that point.
The Microsoft help site indicated that it might have something to do with the registry. It referred me to Article # 873148. However, when I followed the steps to see if this was the problem, it indicated that there weren't any problems with the registry files.
Any ideas?
