no i think its public to the world i live in canada and its widly used by my friends.

It is public, but to stop many of the problems associated with other free mail servers such as hotmail and yahoo they use an invite system to limit the number of users.

yup so look around on this forum, there is one somewhere, where people are offering them to people however it's first come first serve as they get 50 each.

It happened awhile ago - the first time I noticed it was around 4 months ago.
