In certain websites, Windows Media causes a hard freeze requiring powerdown. ctrl+alt=del will not even work. No boxes are checked in options for defualt because I use Real Player. Thank you for any tips. TJ

try using Media Player Classic... it's much lighter and has many more functions that WMP doesn't have.

Thank you for response. I saw something similiar in another post. Do i need to uninstall all of WMP in add remove programs, then install Classic? I started to do that but got a message saying abunch of programs wouldnt work. Is that just jibberish?
