cmd from start run problem

When I from start, run, type cms and enter. I type at the prompt ipconfig, and receive the message, ipconfig is not recognised as an internel or external command. In fact I can type any legit command at the prompt and get the same message.

right click MY COMPUTER, choose PROPERTIES, choose ADVANCED, choose ENVIRONMENT SETTINGS

Scroll down to PATH, click edit and copy the contents here

:tazz: Hi gerryf, I typed in the path,after removing ipconfig, :) C:\windows\system32\ and I can now run ipconfig OK : :)
