I am not able to enter text in the CMD window. Prior to yesterday, I could not get a Task Manager window to open and the CMD window would close as soon as it opened. Last night I downloaded and installed Norton Utilities. It did a full scan and indicated that it found no viruses or spyware. Since that time, Task Manager is working fine and the CMD window remains open but no text is entered as I type on the keyboard. Additionally, my laptop is running very slow now. Don't know if they're all related but them's the facts. Anybody heard of any of these symptoms before?

Many thanks
Dave

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
