Hi

I just installed a new sony dvd rw drive, and am having trouble. When I put it in, I have it as a master as it is on its own IDE cable, and thats what the old cd rom drive was. It was working, but when I booted, I was promted to enter F1, I assume because it was not being detected. So, I changed the BIOS set up menu. In CMOS settings, I choose auto-detect for the drive, and it show correctly, and I also changed to auto detect in the auto detect menu. Now the drive will not play back, but I do not have to enter F1 anymore in the boot sequence. I have tried putting the drive on slave, in hardware, and I can get it to play back although I have to do the F1 thing. I am not sure if I am doing the set up menu changes appropriately. If you have any ideas, please share. I am new to this so be specific.

Thanks
