I was wondering if anyone that follows computers well enough if they know what website i can find the PCI Express ATI 512MB Graphics Card that just came out a couple of months ago on or even just the name that it falls under the price is only $200 dollars i can't think of the full name of it.

So if anyone knows which one i'm talking about can you help me out please i would appreciate it Cause that's the video card i'm putting in my next computer well 1 of 2 anyway.

Thanks!

I think this is the one your talking about.

Its the only one with 512mb below $200 by ati.

You know that just because the video card has 512mb, it doesnt mean jack right??

That card is very slow. It only has 128 bit interface, with Gddr2 memory not Gddr3.

You know that a 6600gt 256mb version is faster than it right?

The x1600pro has no more than 12 to 12.8 gb/s memory bandwith.

A 6600gt 256mb has 16 Gb/s memory bandwith. <------- just giving you an example.

Im just giving you advice, the 512mb does not mean jack if the card itself is slow. I would take a 6600gt over that card in a heartbeat and I would never buy a 6600gt...lol

Look into the 6800gs by nvidia or an x800gto, gto2, xl. <---- has 256mb and they are all over twice as fast as the x1600pro.

Here is one for example. They have different makers that put it together.

I would buy this and its in the same price range as the x1600pro.

The 6800gs would be the way to go. It owns the x1600pro. The 6800gs has 32 Gb/s memory bandwith, over twice as fast like I said with 256 bit interface, GDDR3 memory, will play any game on high settings...

Trust me do not buy the x1600pro, you will be sorry... I know these kind of things..

Nvidia makes the 6800gs.

The makers like evga, xfx, bfg, pny, msi, gigabyte are the people who puts it together on their board and slaps their name and fan on it..

Either that or the ati x800gto or above.

The ati x800gto is about the same, 6800gs a tad better overall.
